The Office of Online Learning/Instructional Technologies hosted a professional development workshop for online faculty on June 15th, 2010 and over 70 online instructors participated! In addition to an update on what is happening with ANGEL at MCC, presenters covered a variety of interesting topics related to online teaching and learning. Kudos to the following folks who made the event a success!
Steve Kilner – presented on Camtasia Studio – user-friendly software that captures the action and sound from any part of the Windows desktop and saves it to a file which can then be placed within an ANGEL shell.
Marie Gibson – presented on “myMCC” – MCC’s new campus portal
Martha Kendall – shared her comprehensive ANGEL Online Student Orientation module
Mary Hallett – discussed useful MCC Web 2.0 Resources
One of the best parts of the afternoon was when the participants shared their own best practices for online teaching and learning! We certainly have talented faculty here at MCC!
Thanks to everyone involved in this event!
