Faculty Association Sponsors Visit from Assemblyman Harry Bronson to Discuss the Constitutional Convention

Please join us on Wednesday, October 18th at 12pm in Monroe B at the Brighton Campus to hear from Assemblyman Harry Bronson about the Constitutional Convention. This event is sponsored by the Faculty Association and is open to all members of the MCC community.

On November 7th, New Yorkers will vote on opening the NYS Constitution. Our state constitution provides many of protections for its citizens. It guarantees a free public education, allows workers to collectively bargain for a contract and protects environmentally sensitive areas such as the Adirondacks or the Catskills. The vote to open the Constitution will affect every citizen in the state and may put these protections at risk.

Please watch this short video and plan to join us on the 18th.

A presentation on the Constitutional Convention is planned for the Downtown Campus on October 25th. Further details will be provided soon.
