United Way Campaign has been extended! We still need your help!

The 2017 Monroe Community College United Way campaign began Monday, March 6th and we have raised $94,216.06 towards our $100,000 goal. We are so close to hitting our goal that we have extended our campaign until May 31, 2017.

In Fall 2016, MCC participated in the Wisconsin HOPE Lab's national study of basic needs insecurity in higher education. The data below is from our MCC Students.

  • 35% of students reported food insecurity at the highest USDA levels, 51% reported skipping meals because of cost, and 39% reported being hungry but not eating due to cost.
  • 52% reported some level of housing insecurity, 12% reported being homeless, and 14% reported moving more than twice in the last year.
  • 50% reported borrowing money to pay bills, 31% reported being unable to pay the full utility bill and 25% reported having an account go into default or collections.

If you haven't made your pledge yet, please consider to do so. Your pledge will help our students have the chance to fulfill their potential here at MCC and beyond. Online pledge instructions and printable pledge forms are available on the myMCC Channel, Employee Tab, United Way Channel, or contact any of the Campaign Committee members listed below.

Thank you all for your support and together we are strengthening our community!
