Simulated DWI Event to Help Educate Students - 10/20/10

The MCC Public Safety and Brighton Fire Department will be hosting a DWI Awareness event in Lot E of the MCC Brighton Campus on Wednesday, October 20th at 7:00PM. MCC Public Safety Officers along with the Brighton Fire Department and Brighton Ambulance will be participating in a DWI Awareness event depicting a DWI motor vehicle accident with a fatality. Emergency first responders will respond to the accident, treat the injured, identify and take into custody the driver who was operating one of the vehicles while under the influence of alcohol.  The event will be narrated by Officer Chuck DiSalvo of the MCC Public Safety department and there will be a question and answer session following the event. This event is open to all faculty, staff, students, and visitors to Monroe Community College. MCC Public Safety and the Brighton Fire Department cordially invite the college community to take part in this informative event and assist our efforts to eliminate DWI accidents in our community.
