Hear from GRE Leaders on Rochester's Economic Future

Digital Rochester will hold its annual update of the Greater Rochester Enterprise at MCC on Tuesday, Jan. 9. The event, sponsored by the Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE) and supported by MCC's Office of Workforce Development, is free and open to all employees and students.

The event announcement from Digital Rochester (https://digitalrochester.com/):

Digital Rochester, a networking group for people in technology-related fields, is kickin' off the new year looking for kickin' growth for Rochester's tech sector. Growing an economy is a team sport, and D.R. has lined up some of the best team players around to talk about creating opportunity in Rochester in 2007.

The team from the Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE) is back for its annual update. GRE leaders will share highlights of 2006 and the plan for the coming year. And as always, there'll be networking and free local brew, courtesy of HYPERLINK "https://www.highfalls.com/" High Falls Brewing and and Wright Wisner.

The two-hour event starts at 5:30 pm in the Warshof Conference Center, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center on MCC’s Brighton Campus.

About the event sponsor, Greater Rochester Enterprise:  GRE is a public-private partnership established with an initial $14 million, five-year investment budget provided by government, not-for-profit, business and education to professionally market the Rochester metropolitan region as a competitive, high-profile place for business location and growth. GRE collaborates with business, academia, not-for-profit organizations and government to ensure a unified approach to regional economic development efforts. Visit https://www.rochesterbiz.com/.

With special thanks to MCC's Workforce Development Team: We are pleased to be able to hold this event in a great space thanks to the support of the "https://www.monroecc.edu/go/workforce" Workforce Development Team at MCC. To meet the growing need for employee training and education in the Monroe County area, MCC created the Office of Workforce Development to focus on economic development in the area. Workforce Development brings a variety of credit and noncredit programs to companies and organizations to help increase the skill level of area employees.
