VaPA Staffers and Students Participate in Kodak Motion Picture Workshop

Five VaPA staff members and students participated in an all-day motion picture workshop on Saturday, May 17.  Entitled “Stop By, Shoot Film,” the workshop was sponsored by the Rochester chapter of Women in Film and Television featuring the instructional team of Kodak cinematographers Randy Tack and Chris Hart and camera assistants Karl Goldsmith and Bob Watson.

VaPA staffers Barry Goldfarb and Maryann Cianciotto were joined by cinema students Pete Barrus, Ben Nichols, and  Doug Szczesny Jr. for this opportunity to learn how to shoot movies using Kodak Super 16mm film stock.

The event was open to the community and college students from the region and the MCC contingent of five people was the largest of any college.
