Upward Bound Program students participated in the 16th Heritage College Tour

Ten Upward Bound Program students participated in the 16th Heritage College Tour from April 19-25th . The students had walking tours and heard admissions and financial aid presentations at six Historically Black Colleges.

Two buses left Rochester for Greensboro, NC early Sunday morning.  The first college they toured was North Carolina A &T.  The tour continued to Atlanta, Georgia where the girls toured Spelman College and the boys toured Morehouse College.  The entire group had lunch at Clark Atlanta University and visited the Martin Luther King, Jr., National Historic Site and the visitor center.  The tour ended with a visit to North Carolina Central University, Virginia State University and a day at Busch Gardens.

This is the eighth year that the Upward Bound Program participated on the tour, which is done in collaboration with Hillside Work Scholarship and El-Amin Travel.
