The MCC Child Care Center needs signatures on a petition for grant funding. The attachment contains a petition requesting that Gov. Pataki continue to support full funding for the child care block grant. Because our federal grant is not available this year and our SUNY operating grant has been decreased, it is imperative that we continue to receive block grant funding. This money subsidizes the child care tuition for student parents.
Please join us in our efforts to ensure that MCC students can utilize on-campus child care so they can enroll and stay in school, graduate and earn jobs they can keep. Print out the petition, obtain signatures, and return it to the MCC Child Care Center, which will send all the petitions to Albany. Thank you for supporting our work with students and children.
