Maverick Learn-to-Swim Camp Hosts Registration Night

The Maverick Aquatic Club at MCC will host a registration night for its Learn-to-Swim Camp on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., at the MCC Pool, in Building 10 on the Brighton Campus, 1000 East Henrietta Road.

In addition to being head coach of the MCC Tribunes Swimming and Diving teams, Daniel S. Dubois, Athletics, also serves as program director for the Maverick Aquatic Club at MCC.

The Learn-to-Swim Camp was established in 1997 and is directed by Mary Ellen Dunning, an experienced swim and water safety instructor for over 20 years. The camp offers group and private lessons for preschoolers through adults, as well as aquasize and lap swim sessions. Pre-school classes orient new swimmers to the aquatic environment—creating a sound environment for aquatic education. Other classes build upon skills learned in previous levels and offer an opportunity to practice water safety skills.

Classes meet on Sunday afternoons. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, please call 585.292.2866.
