Anytime Student Services for the 21st Century Student - Audioconference

MCC will host the "https://144.162.197.250/calendar.htm" ITC Professional Development Audioconference entitled “Anytime Student Services for the 21st Century Student” scheduled for Tuesday, July 13 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Board Lounge.

Colleges recognize the important role student services play in learner success and retention and have gone to great lengths to assure that everything is in place - for on-campus students. But what is provided for students who reside hundreds or even thousands of miles from campus? All students deserve access to a full array of services and, until we provide these, we cannot expect to see the same level of student success and retention for on-campus and off-campus courses, particularly when today's students expect services to be available 24/7. This presentation will look at three major topics related to student services: the motivating forces for student services online, how colleges are providing these services and assessment of the services to assure that we are reaching the audience of distant learners. Dr. Angie Parker, Associate Dean, Distributed Learning, Yavapai College will be the presenter.
