The MCC Board of Trustees held its meeting in the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center, Warshof Conference Center on the Brighton Campus on Monday, March 7 and took the following actions:
1. Accepted the Interim Financial Reports as of January 31, 2016.
2. Adopted the “MCC Acceptable Use of College Technology Policy” effective March 7, 2016. The policy can be found on the
policy web page in the coming days.
3. Approved the appointment of Kristin Lowe, Esq., as Assistant to the President, Title IX and Inclusion effective March 25, 2016.
4. Approved the promotion of Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Instructors effective September 1, 2016.
5. Approved the reappointment of Non-Contract, Administrative, Faculty, and Technical Assistants/Advisors as listed at the ranks and titles indicated for the academic year beginning September 1, 2016 and ending June 30, 2017 for ten-month personnel, or August 31, 2017 for twelve-month personnel.
6. Approved salary increases for qualifying Non-Contract Administrators, Officers and the President of 1.75% effective September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016.
7. Approved the following certificate, subject to the approval by the State University of New York: Geospatial Information Science and Technology (GIST).
8. Adopted the “Drug-Free Workplace Policy” effective March 7, 2016. The policy can be found on the
policy web page in the coming days.
9. Adopted the “Drug and Alcohol Policy” effective March 7, 2016. The policy can be found on the
policy web page in the coming days.
10. Conducted an Executive Session pursuant to Public Officers Law §105, subsection (f): the medical, financial, credit or employment history of a particular person or corporation, or matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of a particular person or corporation.
The Board heard presentations from Trustee Barbara P. Lovenheim on Pathways Institute #1; Executive Director of the MCC Foundation Diane Shoger on Foundation activities; and President Anne M. Kress on the Strategic Plan, Direction One.
