Teaching Tips from Your TCC

Six Things That Make College Teachers Successful

Adapted from
The Teaching Professor, written by Mary C. Clement, Ed.D.

1. Study the knowledge base of teaching and learning.

2. Accept all who enter the classroom door.

3. Plan for instructional management.

4. Teach with a variety of strategies.

5. Use assessment to inform students of their achievement.

6. Keep the passion.

And from MCC’s Teaching & Creativity Center (TCC), one more:

Take advantage of the variety of free professional development activities offered on campus. These activities address the knowledge base of teaching and learning, instructional management, teaching strategies, and assessment, as well as other topics suggested by our faculty. We have many upcoming events that will be outlined in Trib announcements and on posters and postcards on the Brighton and Damon campuses. For now, save June 12, 2015 for our Annual Teaching & Learning Conference!
