RAS 38th Annual Fall Scientific Paper Session and Larry King Memorial Lecture


The Rochester Academy of Science’s 38th Annual Fall Scientific Paper Session and Larry King Memorial Lecture will be hosted by MCC on Saturday, October 29, 2011, from 8 am to 2 pm in the Warshof Conference Center (Monroe A/B), Flynn Campus Center.  The session will include the lecture, “Disappearing Ice! Mass Loss & Dynamics of the Greenland Ice Sheet,” at 1 pm, featuring Dr. Beata Csatho, University of Buffalo Department of Geology. (See attached flyer.)

Students and faculty members are encouraged to attend. This session is free and open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the Rochester Academy of Sciences to participate.

The Academy covers the full scope of basic and applied sciences, including anthropology, botany, chemistry, computer science, ecology, environmental science, geography, geology, physics, physiology, science education, and zoology. This session provides a forum for Academy members, the collegiate community and others engaged in scientific research to present the results of their investigations in an atmosphere that promotes discussion and interaction.
