I am very pleased to announce a new course offering, BIOLOGY 253, a travel course to explore the flora and fauna of Costa Rica. Costa Rica is the model for eco-tourism for the entire world and has a system of natural parks that are the envy of us all. The course is for 3 credit hours and will visit four of Costa Rica's gems - Monteverde Cloud Forest; Tortuguero National (Marine) Park; Corcovado National Park; and Savegre Mountain Lodge located in San Gerardo de Dota, where we expect to see the Resplendant Quetzal. The course will run JANUARY 3 - 17 2011. The cost will include everything! International airfare from Rochester, all in-country transportation, lodging, meals, guide services, park admission fees - all you need is money for souvenirs! The cost is projected at $5075.
