Vice President Grzelak to Retire

It is with mixed feelings that I share with you Vice President Chet Grzelak’s decision to retire after nearly two decades of service to MCC.  Chet has managed MCC’s finances during a period of significant growth; our fiscal stability and strength is a credit to his commitment and financial acumen.

Chet came to MCC in 1988 as associate vice president of administrative services, responsible for budget and financial analysis, facilities management and general business services. He was named interim vice president of administrative services in 1999 and vice president of administrative services and chief financial officer in 2000.

Chet’s service to higher education spans nearly 30 years. Prior to joining MCC, Chet served as assistant comptroller for The George Washington University, Washington DC and controller for Eisenhower College, Seneca Falls. He began his career at Price Waterhouse offices in Syracuse and Rochester.

A U.S. Army veteran, Chet served in Vietnam.

Chet earned his M.B.A. at Cornell University and his bachelor’s degree at the University of Connecticut. He is a certified public accountant.

Chet's anticipated retirement date is May 31, 2007.  Please join me in wishing Chet a happy and healthy retirement.
