Business and Community Leaders Join MCC Foundation Board


The Monroe Community College Foundation welcomes the following business and community leaders to its board of directors: Dolores K. Kruchten, Michael J. McDonough, Ph.D., Lee Patterson ’70 and Kevin T. Stickles ’88. The new directors will serve a three-year term.

Dolores Kruchten is vice president of Eastman Kodak Company and general manager of Business Solutions and Services. As general manager, she stimulates business and service development that enable Kodak customers to grow their respective businesses. Her career includes serving as vice president of Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group and as general manager of Global Services and Document Imaging. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, Dolores was a finalist for the Jane Lanphear Legacy Award and the 2006 Stevie Awards for Women Business Executive of the Year. She was also selected as one of the 2008 Women Worth Watching by the Profiles in Diversity Journal. Dolores resides in Pittsford.

As MCC’s dean of liberal arts, Michael McDonough knows firsthand the important role the MCC Foundation plays in the lives of students. Michael will serve as the board’s college liaison. He was elected to the College Board’s Academic Advisory Committee in 2007 and served as the community college representative on the Council on Undergraduate Research board in 2009. Before joining MCC, he was the director of Alfred University’s Communication Studies Program and English Division. He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in drama from Reading University in England, a master’s degree in English from Oklahoma State University, and a doctorate in English from Pennsylvania State University. Michael resides in West Henrietta.

An alumnus of the MCC class of 1970, Lee Patterson stays connected to the college through the MCC Foundation. He has been a member of the President’s Circle Giving Society for many years and has contributed to capital campaigns. Lee enjoyed a 25-year career in mill working that included founding the “Windowsmith” company, based in Fairport. His company merged with Rochester Colonial Manufacturing in 2004. He is a U.S. Navy veteran and holds a bachelor’s degree in English from The College at Brockport. Lee lives in Penfield.

Kevin Stickles is vice president of store operations and human resources for Wegmans Food Markets. During his 24 years with the company, he implemented 18 store openings while managing 10 stores. Kevin is responsible for the company’s staffing and recruiting. Wegmans has an employee base of 36,000 people in 75 stores across New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. He is a member of the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board and is involved with the Hillside Work Scholarship Program. He earned his associate degree in business administration from MCC in 1988, a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego, and an MBA from the Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech. Kevin and his family live in Pittsford.
