Smooth Sailing into Employee Parking Lots P, N and K – No ID Swipe Required

MCC employees who park in Lots P, N and K on the Brighton Campus are no longer required to swipe their employee ID card to gain entrance to these parking lots.  No more searching through your purse or briefcase looking for your ID as you drive onto the Brighton Campus!  Our License Plate Recognition (LPR) system is now active in these lots and MCC employee ID cards will no longer activate the gates. When you drive up to the gate, the LPR system reads your license plate and the gate lifts automatically!  Quick and easy!

The Lot A gate is not activated yet, due to the construction for the bus turn-in next to this parking lot.  We plan on starting the LPR system in this lot in a couple of months.

If you have any difficulties entering any parking lot,  just press the button on the speaker phone to talk to a Parking Services representative. We can open the gate from our office  if you are having any problems entering the parking lot.
You can manage your parking services account from your computer by logging into myMCC and taking the following steps:
  • click on the Banner tab
  • click on Banner Self-Service (left column of page)
  • click on Employee tab
  • click on My Parking Account
  • Update your vehicle registration information
To help ensure a smooth ride into the parking lot, please check your parking services account to determine if the license plate(s) you have on file with Parking Services is accurate.  You can have more than one plate on file, although only one vehicle is authorized to be on campus at a time.

Also, if you are the second vehicle in line driving into the parking lot, please leave a couple feet between you and the vehicle in front of you.  Otherwise, the LPR system may not pick up the plate of the first vehicle and there will be a delay in entering the lot.

We appreciate your patience as we transition to this new system.
