Reed Named DCC Dean of Students

We are pleased to announce that Michele Deagman Reed has been named interim Dean of Students at the Damon City Campus. She will begin her new responsibilities on Monday, Nov. 3.

For the last three years, Michele has served as assistant director of student services at DCC, providing leadership for a number of student services functions, including counseling, advisement, career placement, transfer services, and admissions. Prior to that position, she coordinated advising, counseling and assessment activities in the Work and Learn Center and Temporary Assistance for Student Careers (TASC) program. She also supervised a staff of counselors and advisors who provided comprehensive assessment for students at the Damon and Brighton campuses. In total, she brings over 10 years of experience in student services to her new role.

Michele is currently working on her doctorate in education at the University of Toronto and is focusing her studies on community college leadership.

Michele is student-centered and a strong student advocate. Her leadership and experience will serve the Damon City Campus well during this time of transition.

Please join us in congratulating Michele on this new position and in supporting her in her new responsibilities.
