United Way News:
Last week, United Way of Greater Rochester kicked off their LIVE UNITED campaign, encouraging Rochesterians to GIVE a total of $28 million, ADVOCATE for key issues impacting Rochester, and VOLUNTEER a total of 280,000 hours. United Way’s annual Day of Caring – our area’s single largest volunteer effort – will be held on May 7th, offering a wide variety of volunteer opportunities that will ultimately help reach that goal of 280,000 volunteer hours.

“Rochester has always been a community that cares for our neighbors.” said Carly Layton, Director of Volunteer Engagement at United Way. “Besides helping local not-for-profit organizations, and ultimately those who they serve, Day of Caring volunteers can see, first hand, how their United Way donations make a difference in our community every day.”

Don’t forget to visit the United Way of Greater Rochester’s website at https://www.uwrochester.org/ to learn more about how we can LIVE UNITED.  You can also enter the 2009 United Way Campaign Sweepstakes from this website.

Thank you.
