GeoFest 2015 - Mapping Our World

The Chemistry/Geosciences Department and the New York Geographic Alliance invite all MCC staff and students to GeoFest 2015, which will be held on Saturday, October 24th here at Monroe Community College. Registration is free to all MCC people, but you need to register online via the NYGA website.

This is celebration of geography from many different perspectives. There will be workshops on East Asia, the Watercolors of Charles Burchfield, ArcGIS, Pictometry Resources, Geography Awareness Week, and much more! Coffee and a light breakfast will be served in 8-200 to be followed by the workshops. There is an optional lunch session at the end with a GeoBee Raffle and several cool demonstrations, including the GIANT Map of Asia (on loan from National Geographic).

If you want more information, call Tim McDonnell, Asst. Adjunct Professor and Coordinator of the New York Geographic Alliance, at x2398 or visit the website – https://www.nygeographicalliance.org  We hope to see MCC well-represented!
