Summary
Higher education is always looking for alternative methods for assessment, and online education is leading the way. As online and distance learning courses continue to flourish, the validation for student assessment is in great demand. How do we know students are truly learning in the virtual classroom? This seminar will allow you to interact with experts who have been exploring the concerns of online testing and grading for years and have discovered proven strategies based on pedagogical theory and practice. From exploring assessment philosophy and practices to discussing the importance of rubrics and the use of multiple traditional and alternative testing methods, our distinguished panelists will discuss distance learning and the pedagogical significance of each tool to enhance teaching online and student performance.
