AAWCC and the YWCA "Working Wardrobe"

Start your “spring” cleaning this weekend and “weed” out those suits, dress pants, skirts, dresses, blouses and sweaters that you never wear anymore and donate them to women in our community.

The American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) and the YWCA have joined together to help in “Renewing Women—Rebuilding Lives” by asking for professional clothing and accessories to prepare women for job interviews and to re-enter the workforce.

There are 3 easy steps to donate; 1) Make sure the clothing is clean, 2) Bring on hangers and 3) Donations will be accepted ONLY the week of February 23-27.

Donations may also include non-clothing items such as new/unopened cosmetics and toiletries; accessories such as purses, pins and scarves; and cash donations.  Checks are to be written to the YWCA.  Your donation is tax deductible and receipts are available.

Please drop off your clothes and other items to one of the following coordinators during the week of February 23-27 between the hours 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. unless otherwise specified.
