Damon TCC Announces February Conversation

The Damon Teaching and Creativity Center will host a conversation entitled “Knowing Your Students:  Myths and Realities of Disability Services” on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at College Hour (12-12:50) in Room 5124.

Should you give extra test-taking time to a student whose first language is not English?  Are you being insensitive to your blind students if you show video clips during class? Join your fellow teaching faculty and featured guest, Lisa Bierre (Student Services), and find out everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask in regards to students with disabilities.  Along the way, discover techniques to build more inclusive, but no less academic, classroom environments.

All full-time and part-time college faculty members are welcomed.

Presented by the Damon TCC Advisory Committee.
