Coffey and Musler Speak on RPN, Brain Development

Jim Coffey, Visual and Performing Arts, and Mary Louise Musler, Rochester Parent Network, continue to introduce the Rochester Parent Network to and share research on brain development in children with our local community. On Oct. 21, Coffey presented to members of the Council of Childcare Administrators in Rochester. His presentation also included Monroe Community College's academic offerings in response to the growing interest in and discussion of early childhood development locally.

Musler presented to the Adoption Resource Network on Nov. 8 in Penfield.

Tonight on Time Warner Channel 4 at 8 p.m., Coffey will host a Town Meeting for child care providers. The meeting will feature special guest Torie Seeger, director of the Educational Incentive Program at the SUNY Research Foundation, who will discuss the state scholarships and programs available to childcare practitioners. The Town Meeting series was launched in spring 2003 and is made possible by a grant from the Rochester Area Community Foundation, and support from Irondequoit Community Access Television and MCC.
