Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life

Please join me in congratulating Stacey Pierce who has been chosen as the Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life.

Stacey has been the Resident Director coordinating programming for the Alice Holloway Young Commons since June 2004.  Stacey emerged as the successful candidate following two professional searches. Her career accomplishments include the National Residence Hall Honorary Advisor of the Year Award and the North East Association of College and University Housing Officers, James Casey New Professional Award. Stacey has presented on programming and advertisement at the Brockport Annual Resident Assistant Conference and for Keuka Colleges RA Training.  In addition, Stacey will also be presenting at the League for Innovation Conference to be held in Atlanta, GA.

Stacey has truly become a member of the Monroe Community College family and has been making "good impressions" since her debut at the All College Day when she fixed her hair on the big screen. Stacey has already taken an American Sign Language course and taught the College Orientation Seminar since joining the Housing and Residence Life team. Inspired to continue her pursuit of academic excellence and involvement she plans to explore marketing courses provided by MCC.

Prior to her employment at MCC, Stacey worked as an Assistant Area Coordinator at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Additional past experience includes teaching Special Education to fourth and fifth graders and working as a graduate Resident Director. She received her BA in Psychology from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ and MA in Industrial Organizational Psychology from University of New Haven in West Haven, CT.
