Regina Fabbro and Jodi Oriel to Lead HGHRP

The Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project Advisory Board, led by Trustee and MCC Foundation Director Howard Konar, recognizes the dedication and leadership of Regina Fabbro (English/Philosophy) and Jodi Oriel (Office of Student Life and Leadership Development) with new HGHRP appointments.

As of June 1, Regina will serve as the Endowed Chair of Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies, ensuring the HGHRP’s continued offering of high quality scholarship and programming opportunities for our students. In addition to teaching Literature of the Holocaust, she advises the student organization, and represents MCC as a member of the Association of Holocaust Organizations. She has served on the HGHRP’s Advisory Team since 2004, most recently as assistant director.

One of the student organization founders in 1990 and the current associate director, Jodi will become HGHRP director on June 1. Jodi will continue to maximize student learning and leadership opportunities through the HGHRP’s commemorative and special activities. She serves as the HGHRP’s liaison to the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester’s Center for Holocaust Awareness and Information and a member of the Association of Holocaust Organizations.

Please join me in congratulating Regina and Jodi as they lead the HGHRP into its next 25 years of academic and co-curricular excellence at MCC.
