Spring 2005 Foreign Film Festival Starts This Week


The ESOL & Foreign Languages Department and the Global Union International Students Association invites the College community to this year's Spring Foreign Film Festival starting tomorrow, April 26.

This weeks films are:

Tuesday, April 26 at the Damon City Campus, Room 4013
"If I Never See You Again" Comedy in Spanish, 1997, set in Mexico.
Introduced by Jorge Alas. In memory of Salvador Anchondo.

"Secret Love" Drama in German and German Sign Language, 2001, about a deaf nun who meets a deaf pickpocket.
Introduced by Rita Straubhaar.

Thursday, April 28 at the Brighton Campus, Room 8-200
"Seducing Dr. Lewis" Comedy in French, 2003, about the efforts of a small fishing town in Quebec to attract a city doctor. Introduced by Brigitte Martineau.

"Ju Dou" Drama in Chinese, 1990, set in rural China. Introduced by Henry "Pete" French

Arrive at 6:00 p.m. to mingle and enjoy some ethnic nibbles and food sampling. The films will be introduced at 6:30 p.m. Two films will be shown concurrently on each of the specified dates. All films have English subtitles. The Foreign Film Fest is free and open to the public.
