Award-Winning Young-Adult Author M.T. Anderson Coming to MCC


The Creative Arts Committee is pleased to announce that award-winning author M.T. Anderson will visit MCC early this fall. Anderson will read from his work on Tuesday, September 23, at 7 p.m. in the MCC Theater (free and open to the public, parking in Lot F); and he will lead a round-table discussion on Wednesday, September 24, at 12 noon in Building 5-300 (free and open to the MCC community).

M.T. Anderson is a multiple award-winning author of several books for children and young adults. Feed (2002) was the finalist for the National Book Award and winner of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. His biography of composer George Frederic Handel, Handel, Who Knew What He Liked (2001), was a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor Winner. His latest book, The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation, Volume 1 (Candlewick 2006), won the 2006 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature.
