Join the Celebration of Lori Dewaters

Lori Dewaters will be retiring this Thursday, January 8 after serving MCC and its staff and students for over 18 years.  Please join us in celebrating Lori’s contributions and longevity on this grand day.  You  have a back door pass.  Just come on over to Registration & Records (6-203) and our back door will be open from 2:00 – 4:30 pm.  Cake and refreshments will be served.

Lori began her career at MCC on August 26, 1996 as a Clerk III with Typing.  She was promoted to a Clerk II with Typing on April 4, 2003.  Her current title is an Office Clerk II.  Before coming to MCC, Lori ran the office for a lawyer in downtown Rochester.

Her first job duty was to file student records back in the day when R&R housed 200,000 manila student files.  All filed in SSN order.  What a nightmare!!!   More recently Lori responsibilities include: Work Force Development registrations, management of the class waitlists, tuition recalculations, window schedule and greenslips.

Lori has worked in Registration and Records her entire MCC career and directly supported the likes of Marion Miller, Betsy Ripton, Ginger Toth, and Doug Miller.  A true ambassador for the college, Lori has always had the best school spirit.  She is a wonderful party planner, baker and office decorator and will probably take on one of these passions when she is not spending time with her 2nd grandchild, a boy, who is due later in the month.

We know Lori will be busy as she embarks on the next adventures in her life.  In between shopping, hunting and knick knack collecting, we hope Lori finds time to ride her Harley into the Arizona sunset with her husband, Bob, by her side.

Please join us in wishing Lori the best.

No RSVP just come on down.
