On Thursday, October 14, Monroe Community College Local Chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) and the League of Women Voters presented “Making Your Vote Count.”
The program began with the history of the League of Women Voters and their role in the election process then moved toward the importance of being an informed voter.
Topics of discussions were; intimidation of the voting booth, how to find quality reference material, being educated on the issues to make an informed decision and of course, exercising your right to vote.
Questions and answers were the final format of this presentation.
We wish to thank the League of Women Voters, staff and students who attended this presentation.
