Interpersonal Communication (SPT 141-CF2, CRN 16498) will be offered this fall for the first time specifically for “couples.” A “couple” refers to any two people including, but not limited to, spouses, partners, friends, parents and children – basically any two people wanting to invest in their relationship by learning to communicate more effectively with each other. In this skills-oriented class, students must demonstrate their proficiency to listen actively, assertively respond to criticism, express emotions, ask others to change and resolve conflicts.
Offered at DCC from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on the first five Saturdays of the fall semester, this course carries three Humanities credits and is recommended for many majors. Interested students may contact Jim Coffey for more information or for instructor approval which is required before registering. Professor Coffey can be reached at 262-1544 or <<mailto:jcoffey@monroecc.edu>>.
