Email Scams

Just as a reminder, ETS will never ask you to reveal your password or confirm that your account is active via an email.  This is a technique known as phishing and can direct a user to an infected website designed to steal your username and password to send mail through the MCC servers.  This can damage the electronic reputation of the MCC mail system and put the college in jeopardy of not being able to send email to anyone.  If there is ever a concern about an email and whether it is real or fake, please call TECH (x8324) and discuss your concerns.
