36th Annual Student Association Leadership Retreat

The Office of Student Life and Leadership Development’s Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) program annually provides our student leaders with appropriate training to enhance their educational and leadership skills as part of their involvement in the co-curricular program.  One of the major opportunities they have is our annual fall leadership retreat.

This year we have set aside the weekend of September 27-29, 2013 for our Student Association Leadership Retreat.  It is during this time that the entire staff of the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development, along with all the student leaders, will expand their experiences in the areas of leadership, problem solving, and motivation.

The outcomes that we have established for this year’s retreat are as follows:
Appreciation of diversity
Creative thinking
Conflict resolution
Ethical leadership
Personal growth
Problem solving
Role clarification
Teambuilding

The buses will be leaving the Brighton Campus for the retreat on Friday, September 27th at 9:00 a.m.  We have asked each student leader attending the retreat to work with his/her professors, in advance, to insure that they fulfill their academic requirement if they have classes on Friday.

If you have any questions or are interested in finding out more about this program, please feel free to contact me at the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development x2536.  Our leaders will appreciate your understanding in allowing them to participate in this program.
