Cast of Players Produce Silent Student Art Auction

Thanks to the efforts of Christian O'Brien, speaker of the Student Government, Gretchen Roseler, chair of SGA's fundraising committee, Eric Moon, an SGA senator, and Daniele Akins, of the SGA fundraising committee, the Student Silent Auction at Monroe Community College was held on January 29th in the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center.

This extraordinary black tie event showcased student art ranging from charcoal prints to sculptures.  Due to the participation of the Student Senate, the Presidential Cabinet and the SGA, the auction raised $800 to benefit MCC Child Care Center.

Congratulations to all of the students who donated their art work, their time and their talents to benefit the children of fellow MCC students.  This is an excellent example of how MCC students develop a sense of community and  in the process, use their analytical and social skills to make a difference.
