Changes to Student E-Mail

ETS and the Campus Center are pleased to announce the latest development in the MCC Student E-Mail system: a partnership with Microsoft and their Live@Edu platform. This change will offer students a greatly enhanced e-mail experience, including increased mailbox storage, an additional 5 GB of disc space to store and share files, and many other features. MCC will continue to have full control and management of all accounts and all current features, including class and other distribution lists, will continue to be available.

PLEASE NOTE: The account migration is planned for July 3 - 6. During that time, student access to accounts will be impacted and delivery of mail may be delayed and/or disrupted. In addition, all mail, including attachments, stored in the current student accounts will be deleted as a part of the migration. Therefore, any offices or departments planning mass emails are encouraged to wait to send until after the migration is complete. Otherwise, your e-mail announcements may be deleted before students have an opportunity to see them. Students have already received several notices about the account changes and additional reminders will go out as the scheduled time approaches.

These changes will impact Student E-Mail accounts ONLY. Faculty/staff e-mail will NOT be affected. Please watch the MCC Tribune for additional information and announcements.

Questions or other concerns can be directed to Tony Wagahoff in the Campus Center by email or at x2550.
