Want to ride your bike to work, but not sure how to start?


Want to do your part to go green and cut down on your carbon footprint? Want to be healthy and strong or lose a couple lbs! With many years of combined bicycle commuting experience Bob Lasch (Applied Technologies) and Donna Pogroszewski (Communications and Network Services) will help you get started on one of the healthiest, most peaceful, enjoyable ways to start your day. Join us for a three-part, lunchtime brown bag session on commuting to work on your bike.

When:   Monday May 3, 10 and 24
From:    Noon to 12:50 pm

Week 1 – There are so many different kinds of bikes, what kind is right for me?
Bike styles and uses, proper fit, what accessories to have on your bike for commuting.

Week 2 – Do I need to dress like Lance Armstrong to commute and what is the best way to get here?
Biking attire, preparing for Rochester weather, plus determining a good route to work.

Week 3 – Oh no, I got a flat tire and I don’t think AAA can find me on the canal trail!
Break downs, flat tires and emergency repairs (You can probably handle it yourself).
