Please consider entering the 8th Annual Faculty Academic Advisement Contest. The topic for faculty response is Lessons about Advisement: What Would You Share with a New Faculty Advisor?
(Ideas to consider: What have you learned that has made advising “easier”? What are the challenges you face and how do you work to resolve them?)
Submission Guidelines:
Submit all entries to Michele Vitale, Counseling and Advising Center (1-231), <mailto:mvitale@monroecc.edu>, no later than December 4, 2009. Include your name, email address and extension/telephone number. Please limit your typed response to one page.
One faculty advisor and one student will receive a prize for the “best” response to the topic above. A $25 gift certificate for the MCC Bookstore will be awarded on the basis of freshness and quality of response. (Thank you MCC Bookstore for your generous donation!)
The prize-winning entry will also be published in the Tribune.

Please also encourage students in your classes to enter the student contest. We are sending it to the student Tribune but a copy is attached if you would like to use additional avenues to advertise the contest.
