Enough is Enough Campaign - Wednesday Events!


Tuesday’s  Enough is Enough events were a huge success!  Let’s keep the momentum going.   Check it out what’s happening today…

Wednesday:

8am -5:00pm: Brick Wall of Violence (North Atrium/PAC Lobby) -  Take a moment to tell your story of how you or someone you know has been effected by violence.

8am-5:00pm: Shoes of the Victims (Terrace) – Take time to reflect as you interact with this display of shoes with corresponding stories.

12 -1:00pm: These Hands Don’t Hurt Pledge (Main Dining/Brick Lounge/North Atrium/Building 10) – Come take the Pledge that you will not participate in violence. 

11:30am-1:30pm: Spotlight Café (Terrace/Campus Center Atrium) – Stop by the Terrace  to see the Peer Mentors in “civil action” and listen to Kaylin Cervini sing and tell her story! Don’t miss the LIVE self-defense demo with MCC’s Public Safety Training Facility faculty and gather information on our campus and community resources! FREE cookies and coffee!

12:00pm-1:00pm: Military Civility in the Classroom (3-115)

12:00pm – 2:00pm: Jamie Nabozny “Bullied” (DCC Room 4193)
7:00pm – 9:00pm: Jamie  Nabozny “Bullied” (Brighton Campus Room 5-300)
Throughout his middle and high school years, Jamie was physically and verbally bullied for being gay.  With the help of Lambda Legal Defense and the Education Fund, he fought back and won a landmark federal lawsuit against his school administrators for failing to stop the harassment.

5pm: Woman’s Lacrosse Against Niagara – show your support for the Lady Tribunes.  Wear Black and White to show that you are making an effort to Stop the Violence.

7:30pm: Make Your Best Move (Tribune Hall Lobby) – Board game night with facts about anti-violence

7:30pm: Enough is Enough: Take a Stand to Be In the Mix (All Res Hall Lobbies) – Sign the pledge wall and get a Twix bar!
