Go FAR AND AWAY with Celtic Society

Today, please join MCC’s Celtic Society in 12-129 for a FREE screening of FAR AND AWAY .

Featuring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, FAR AND AWAY tells the story of Irish emigrants fleeing the restrictive class and land ownership systems of nineteenth-century Ireland and attempting to make a new life in the United States.

Throughout the spring semester, you can catch screenings and discussions of a number of Celtic-related films (each is free, is open to the community, begins at 6 p.m., and takes place in 12-129):

10 April, THE DECOY BRIDE

8 May, GANGS OF NEW YORK

Celtic Society’s purpose is to raise awareness of the Celtic Nations (Brittany, Cornwall, Galicia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland, Wales) and diaspora. It aims to share and celebrate Celtic culture with the college community. Celtic Society welcomes all students, faculty, and employees, regardless of their ethnic backgrounds.

For more information about Celtic Society or  society-sponsored events, please contact Chieftain Jason Childers at <"mailto:mcccelticsociety@gmail.com>.
