The Penultimate Question - A Workshop on Effective Questioning Techniques

Have you ever experienced the following scenario: You ask your class a question, wait the recommended three seconds, and no one responds? If you wondered what you could have done differently, find out at a workshop on crafting effective classroom questions.

The workshop will be held:      Wednesday, June 11. 2003
                                10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
                                8-100

Designed to be hands-on, the workshop will hold your attention as you participate as students in one activity and analyze a classroom skit (directed by Matthew Fox) in another activity. You will learn important strategies and receive useful articles to enhance your questioning techniques.

This professional development workshop has been developed by COS committee members Matthew Fox, Kimberley Canfield, Marlene Goho, and Diane Fitton. The workshop, which demonstrates questioning techniques specific to COS, is useful for all courses.

If you will be able to attend, please RSVP to Kimberley Canfield via Outlook by May 30.
