New Home Turf at MCC

Upon entering the campus from Brighton-Henrietta Townline Road you may have noticed construction signs and bulldozers excavating in the middle of three soccer fields near Building 10. The College has commenced construction of a new state-of-the-art artificial turf field. In addition to the installation of an all-turf field, the fenced complex will also include bleachers, a press box, scoreboard, new walkways, and appropriate landscaping. Phase II of the project, which is planned for 2006, will include field lighting and additional bleachers. The soccer/lacrosse stadium complex will be available for play beginning this fall.

The project is being coordinated by the Facilities Department as part of the College’s overall Master Plan. Parrone Engineering completed the project design and LeChase will assume responsibility for its construction. The project was jointly funded by the College and MCC Association, Inc.

We wish the Athletic Department continued success in its intercollegiate sports program.
