The Admissions Office partnered with the Rochester City School District last week to facilitate two focus-group conversations at the Brighton and Damon Campuses. The group consisted of RCSD 2011 graduates who currently are MCC students and their former RCSD high school guidance counselors. The discussions focused on ways to better serve RCSD graduates and future RCSD graduates with their transition to MCC. The students were very engaged and offered a number of suggestions to make the transition a successful one. Special thanks to Admissions Counselor Joan Moorehead in coordinating this beneficial collaboration. Additional thanks go to Rick Sadwick, Damon Student Services associate director and Corinne Rapp, counselor, for their assistance in organizing this event at DCC.
