A partnership for community success.
MCC’s Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services division (EDIWS) is a unique partnership between Monroe Community College and Rochester businesses and organizations. Through extensive research of local labor market data, we identify the career areas – for corporate positions, as well as for skilled labor – that are in need of quality workers. We then create the academic, career and educational programming to teach our students to succeed in these particular fields.
Through public-private partnerships and educational innovation, MCC prepares students for sustainable careers, helping area businesses stay competitive and strengthening the local economy. For students, knowing that they’re on a direct path to a career makes learning even more fulfilling – and shows the true value of an MCC education.
The division includes:
- MCC Corporate College – professional development and corporate leadership training
- Workforce Development – IT certification training, technical training for skilled-trade workers, and welding and fabrication certificates
