What do I have to do if I need a tutor?
All you have to do is stop by one of our learning centers and ask for help. You will need to complete a learning center application to officially request a tutor. The application is valid for one academic year and will allow you to get tutorial support repeatedly.
Can I make a tutoring appointment over the phone?
No, the learning center staff member will need to speak to you face-to-face. This will avoid scheduling mistakes and help maintain our record-keeping accuracy.
Do you offer on-line tutoring?
We apologize for the inconvenience; however, we do not offer on-line tutoring at this time.
Can I get help in more than one course?
Yes, you can! We offer tutoring in most course disciplines (more than 300 courses). If we do not have a tutor for the course you are requesting, we will try our best to work with you to find someone.

Can I request to do a make-up test in the learning center?
Not every MCC student can request to do a make-up test in the Academic Foundations Learning Center or the Transitional Studies Mastery Lab. This service is only provided for TRS or ESOL students. The request is made by faculty of the department on behalf of their students. Make-up testing dates and times are scheduled and students are referred during those times.
