International Students - Admissions Process

  1. You may download an International Application or contact the Admissions Office to have one sent to you. The completed application can be sent by mail or fax to the college.

  2. International students must be high school graduates or have a GED from the U.S.

  3. Programs of study available to International Students are listed in the International Student Application packet. International Students are not eligible for our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program, Health Related programs or the Automotive Technology program.

  4. All applicants from countries where English is not the primary language or the language of education must submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Minimum score requirement for school entrance consideration is 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based) or 61 (internet-based). The TOEFL website is http://www.toefl.org

  5. New York State law requires that all international students carry sickness, reparation and evacuation insurance. The fee is for one-year payable in the fall. If your starting semester is spring, the fee will be prorated.

Application Deadlines For International Students

Applicants for January admission should complete admissions procedures by November 15 of the previous year. Applicants for September admission should complete admissions procedures by June 1 of that year. After the applicant is admitted in a degree program the College will issue an I-20 document to the student. The I-20 document is required to obtain a student visa.
