International Students - Travel

Before students leave the United States they should stop by the International
Advisor's Office to get their I-20 signed. The documents you will need
to come back into the United States are passport, visa, signed/valid I-20
and proof of financial support. If you are in the U.S.A and leave, the
International Advisor's signature is required and only needs to be endorsed
once a year in order to reenter the country.
Students who wish to travel to Canada may check the following link (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index-visit.html)
to see whether they will need to request a visa to visit Canada. If you
are not required to get a visitor visa make sure your travel documents
are with you.
- Apply in person:
You will need a valid passport, I-94 card, I-20, evidence of financial
support, Canadian Visitor Visa Application, supplementary information
sheet, two recent passport photos of each person traveling and the application
fee.
- Apply by mail:

the Canadian consulate in Buffalo. Mail this certified mail with a self-address
pre-paid envelope included. If the return envelope is not included the
consulate will send the documents back by regular mail.
