AUTOMOTIVE

Information Meetings:

All prospective Automotive students are required to attend an information session before they are eligible to register for classes. These meetings will provide the following information:

  • The differences between the four Automotive majors
  • The work experience (co-op) requirements
  • Admissions and Financial Aid information
  • A tour of the Applied Technologies Center
The information sessions provide an opportunity to involve friends and family in learning about a career in the automotive industry, so please invite them to attend as well!

Other important points concerning information meetings:

  • Attend a session as early as possilbe; Automotive programs fill up early and typically waiting lists are establesd for the core Automotive classes.
  • RSVP's are not necessary; Meetings are open to the public and will last approximately an hour and a half.
  • Location: All Automotive Information Sessions are held at the
    Applied Technologies Center:
    2485 West Henrietta Rd
    Rochester, NY 14623

Prospective students need to simultaneously complete the MCC Admissions process, and can begin by visiting www.monroecc.edu/go/admissions or by calling 585-292-2200

Automotive Information Sessions will be held @ 6PM on the following dates:

Wednesday November 18, 2009
Wednesday December 2, 2009
Wednesday December 16, 2009*
Wednesday January 6, 2010
Wednesday January 13, 2010

*Preferred deadline for students wishing to begin classes in January 2010. Students should be aware Admissions, Financial Aid & Registration processes can take up to 6 weeks.

Note: A popular introductory course, Automotive Service (ATP 100), will be offered across the 3-week January 2010 Intersession. Students must be registered and paid for this course by Friday, December 18, 2009. The course begins Monday, January 4, 2010 and runs through January 22, 2010.



NYS Inspector’s License Exam Dates:

Exams will be held in room 118 from 8 a.m.–12 p.m. Sign up through the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles.

NYS Inspector’s License Exam will be held on the following dates:

HEATING, VENTILATION and AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC)

HVAC PAR sessions and informational meetings are held at 2485 West Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14623.

PRECISION TOOLING & MACHINING

All prospective students at the Applied Technologies Center should attend an information session before they register for classes. At these meetings, students will hear about their program of interest and take a tour of the Facility. Please invite your friends and family to attend as well. Students should attend as soon as possible as the classes fill early.
