2006 awards and honors

The MCC baseball team garnered plenty of accolades during the 2006 season.  Five players were named first team All-Region: pitcher Joe Davis, catcher Ryan Sullivan, infielders Nelson Santos and Robb Meng, and outfielder Mark Stuckless.  Pitcher Bryan Haxton (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga), infielder Harrison Harber, and outfielders Adam Curynski and Tony Fuller (Rochester, NY/Penfield) were named to the second team.

Santos also earned first team All-District honors after finishing the year with a .379 batting average, 12 home runs, and 79 runs batted in.

Sullivan’s awards didn’t stop on the field.  The sophomore backstop was named Academic All-American after posting a 3.72 grade point average and also received the SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award.
