Tribunes top Pioneers
ALFRED, NY - Tom Schiller (Rochester, NY/Brighton) scattered five hits and struck out five to lead the MCC baseball team to a 7-2 victory over Alfred State Saturday.
The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was rained out. MCC is 30-12 on the season, including a 6-1 mark in Region III, Division II play.
Jamie Fitzgerald (Nepean, ON/Merivale) went 2-for-4 with three runs batted in to pace the offense. Nate Grabowski (Pennellville, NY/Phoenix) had two hits and an RBI and Jeff Osler (Frankville, ON/St. Mary's) also had two hits.
Dan Kaplan (Rochester, NY/Penfield) finished 2-for-4 with a double.
