Fall teams gear for season
ROCHESTER - MCC's fall sports teams are gearing up for another exciting season of competition.
The Tribune men's soccer, women's soccer, and women's volleyball teams have been practicing in earnest as they approach their respective season openers.
The women's soccer team will kick off the action first as MCC travels to Tompkins Cortland CC for the TC Invitational. Monroe will face TC3 on Aug. 29 and defending NJCAA Division III national champion Broome CC on Aug. 30.
The Lady Tribunes will be home for the first time Sept. 4-6 as they host the MCC Invitational. Monroe will play against Cincinnati State on Sept. 4 and Mercer CCC on Sept. 6.
The Monroe men's soccer team will hit the road to start the season. The Tribunes will travel to American International College on Sept. 4 and Massasoit CC on Sept. 5. MCC's first home game is Sept. 9 against Genesee CC.
The women's volleyball team, ranked ninth in the NJCAA preseason national poll, will open the season at the Alfred State Quad Match on Sept. 5. MCC's first home match is Sept. 15 versus Alfred State.
